It brought me back to my childhood, going to the ice cream parlor on hot summer days. This Superman Ice Cream Recipe turned out great! After waiting a few hours for it to freeze, I could not wait to dig into it. Well, Blue Moon ice cream is also something that I can not find in the south, so I had to wing it. Classic Superman Ice Cream has three flavors: Lemon, Red Pop (or Soda), and Blue Moon Ice Cream. I have been craving this ice cream since the weather has warmed up, so I decided I was going to figure out my own Superman Ice Cream Recipe! The base of this ice cream is the same exact as my Galaxy Ice Cream Recipe, but just had a few add ons.

They have more than 50 flavors, including Michigan classic Superman. The business has remained in the Stevens family, now run by third generation Tom Stevens. There’s a bit of a mystery about the Blue Moon taste. While I have spotted Faygo and Vernors here in the south, Superman Ice Cream has yet to make an appearance. This Royal Oak favorite was founded in 1958 by Raymond, Bernice, and Dale Stevens as an ice cream parlor and soda fountain. The taste of red, yellow, and blue-swirled ice cream might vary depending on which ice cream store scoops it: the yellow could be vanilla or lemon, and the red could be black cherry or red pop, but the blue is always Blue Moon.

My childhood memories include things like Faygo, Vernors, and Superman Ice Cream. I grew up in Michigan, and there are just things I grew up with that I can not find here in the South.
